About the Lung Cancer Project

About the Lung Cancer Project

Founded in 2012 by Genentech and the leading lung cancer advocacy organizations, The Lung Cancer Project is a movement to identify, understand and remove stigma and other barriers faced by people with lung cancer – so everyone receives the care they deserve.

The Lung Cancer Project's initial research findings around the bias and stigma toward people with lung cancer have sparked a national conversation around the social psychology of lung cancer and the underlying cause of low treatment rates.
